Stan’s New Web Site
I’ve been working with some great people at Communication Links in Scottsdale to launch my new web site. After looking at some examples of what innovative people are doing on the web, I felt they probably knew what they were talking about. I just told them get it done.
And, that they did. What you see on this new web site is very different from my old site at stanutleygolf.com (still “live”, but not for long!). What I learned is that times have changed since we launched my first web site a number years ago, so we decided to really embrace all these resources that would help me connect better with you.
We’re going to use all these new interactive tools that enable me to put up a lot of photos, video clips, enable PGA Tour news to feed right into the site, and I can include my Twitter feeds in a box on the right side of the page as well. As you’ll see, there are many areas that contain what the web experts call “feeds,” or information coming both from me and from trusted outside sources that I personally enjoy reading. I now have the ability to easily share that information with you. What I’ve quickly realized is this site has a lot of moving parts, and that makes it really fun for site visitors who like this sort of thing. TeamUtley has been able to accomplish all that I hoped for and then some, and I’m really proud of my new presence on the Internet.
I hope you’ll drop me an e-mail at info@stanutley.com with your feedback, with suggestions for items you’d like to see me write about and with any good news stories about your adventures on the golf course. Since I love this game, and you must also have a passion for golf to have visited my web site, let’s enjoy it together right here on StanUtley.com.

Jon…you are very kind to write, and I really appreciate it. As you’ve no doubt seen on my website, yours is not the first to ask about how to get the videos from The Art of the Swing in other media formats. We had an arrangement with my publishing team that for a period of time the videos were a major part of the book, and we wanted to make sure that the buyers of my book got real value out of their purchase. But, my digital team has been working to find new ways we can make these videos available. I don’t have a date just yet, but hopefully before the year is out we’ll find a way to make the videos available in new ways. Thanks for your patience.
Stan
Jack…it’s my pleasure, and glad you enjoyed the book. Thanks for letting me know.

I’ve just finished your latest book in one sitting. I think it’s great that you’re doing the video tags. The problem though is that it is impossible to see the detail of what you are explaining on the videos due to the fact that those of us without an iphone can’t see much on our tiny screens.
Is there anywhere online where purchasers of the book can see the videos in a decent quality? I think this would help me to work out how to do the bunker shots and low chips that you are explaining in the book.
Many thanks for the clarity in a confused golf world.
Jon
I have been following your short game technique from “The Art of the Short Game” book. It has done wonders with a part of the game that has been declining as my age goes up (65). Thanks for your well written and easily understandable book.
I do have one question. In the chapter on sand play, you mention how close to hit the ball based on sand condition and distance. How do I swing so that I hit the sand the correct distance behind the ball? Do I move the ball forward in my stance to hit further behind the ball of do I use the same ball position and just look at the spot where I want to enter the sand? I’ve got the swing down, I just need to know how to hit the correct spot.
Thanks very much, Larry Rudnick
Randy,
Thanks so much for reaching out…and, I’m delighted you are doing well. I very much appreciate your kind words.
Best,
Stan
Hey Stan,
It’s great to see you doing so well. You probably won’t remember but I met you back in the early 90’s. There was a Nike Tour event in Arab Alabama and you were having problems with your Ford Explorer.(I was the GM at Woody Anderson Ford In Huntsville.)Anyway I have now bought my own dealership in Daytona Beach Fl.I’ve thought about writing you for several years to congradulate you on your success. I wish it was as easy to fix a putting stroke as it is to fix cars. Much continued success to you.

My family and I had an awesome time in Madrid. I’m working on a “Madrid Diary” which I hope to post to the web site in the next few days (with photos). Spain is a tremendously inviting country, and the hospitality and warmth of everyone we met made us feel welcome.
Stay tuned…more on my trip soon.
Stan
Iwould like to know about your experience at the Madrid Masters as well as your opinion about “the health” of the spanish golf.
It was a great honor to have you hanging aroud my home town Madrid.
When will be your next visit to Spain?
Best regard
